“An absolutely beautiful stay at Hallkelsstadahlid - we couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming and responsive host. The cabin was warm despite the subzero temperatures outside - and the hot tub made it possible to sit outside even at night. Cooking facilities make the most of the small space available, and were all we needed for our stay. The bathroom was clean, with plenty of warm water and a great shower. Above all else the location is stunning. We hardly felt the need to leave the cabin as we could have sat and looked at the mountains all day as the light changed throughout the day. Even in heavy snow the view was still beautiful. We had one minor issue but the host was really responsive and sorted everything in no time at all - we were incredibly grateful for the help. I can’t recommend this Airbnb enough if you want to enjoy the feeling of being off grid, but still with all amenities for a comfortable stay.”

“Immaculate! If this is available-book it! Often, in little cabins, the bathrooms don’t get any love-this felt like a hotel shower. I felt safe and warm in the blustery wind. When the wind stopped blowing and the sun came out, it was like being in a movie. Peaceful doesn’t even describe it. I literally spent hours just watching the sheep. What a fun experience! Great home base location.”

“This cabin is so secluded and in the middle of a picturesque farm. We had one bad weather day while staying here but it wasn’t a problem at all, as our plans included nothing but relaxation, and reading, and making dinner, while using the hot pot with the incredible view. We would definitely recommend this farm and cabin to our friends and family seeking solitude in Iceland! Thanks for a great stay!”
